Wandering Slime demo now available!


After such a long time after the announcement of Wandering Slime, I am proud to announce that there is finally a demo for everyone to enjoy!


I know I announced an earlier release date at the time, but for various personal reasons (including increased responsibility at work and moving house) I had to put the project on hold for several months, which then left me feeling unmotivated to finish it.

However, a few months ago I decided to make a change of approach to restart the game: instead of releasing the whole game, I would release a vertical slice as a demo of the first section of the game. This would help me to focus on finishing features, polishing various elements and calmly dedicate myself to tasks that I dread, such as composing music.

I've kept this plan under wraps until now because I didn't want to do too much teasing or have the pressure of having the demo ready by a specific date. The Twitter situation (or whatever it's called now) didn't help me to keep people informed of the plan either.


All this being said, I can say with certainty that I'm proud of the result of the demo and I look forward to you trying it out and letting me know what you think. I know it's not much, but it's certainly the most ambitious project I've ever done and I think it has the potential to appeal to people who enjoy retro RPGs or gamers of the beloved Game Boy.

The demo can be completed in about 30 minutes and contains the beginning of the game: the first five floors of the tower, ending with a boss. 

I've also added a poll at adrianjg.es/survey to collect feedback from players to improve aspects for the final release.

I don't want to commit to a release date again, but I hope your feedback will encourage me to make the best game I can.
